Pearce Cycles XC team rider Steve Bennett placed 3rd Master 2 category (40yrs plus) in the Grande Traversée du Limousin at the weekend. The grueling three day stage race took 250 riders across 200kms of the Haute Vienne and Creuse departments in France.

"I'm really pleased with this ride, it's was extremely tough, but I stuck to the task, never gave up, and it paid off." - Bennett

Meanwhile team mate 'Pricer' (Dave Price) put in a creditable performance in his first foreign foray finishing 10th in the tough 'homme' category.

"Racing one way on unseen terrain I found it very difficult to guage my effort, but on day three it all came together. It was my best day." - Pricer

Steve rode his Stumpjumper HT, while Pricer rode his S-Works Epic. Both claimed that they had made the right choice! Well done boys!
