My poor bike - Steve

Pearce Cycles riders Carla and Steve Bennett both came away from the French National VTT Championships with gold medals at the weekend! But not the ones they'd hoped for.

Racing in the veteran ladies (35+) Carla placed a creditable 8th, while Steve in the mens over 50s category placed 7th.

Both raced as part of the Haute Vienne team, and in both races the Haute Vienne took first place with fastest three home. Plus, in both races Carla and Steve were second team rider home.....

"It was a fantastic weekend of racing, very tough, very fast. There were 94 riders in my race. I was on the third row at the start, managed to get up to third place on the first lap, but faded badly on the last." - Steve Bennett
