JW MAKES TOP 10 IN TOUGH FRENCH XC RACE

JW pleased with his glorious victory!

Riding against a tough european field in the Frederic Mistral XC race in Central France, Pearce Cycles Race Team rider James Williams came home first Brit in the 19-29 category, but also making the top ten overall. The gruelling 42kms single loop was based in the Monts de Blond area, and was a mix of technical trails and rural chemins. "It was very tough, and overnight showers had made it a little slippy in places, which gave me opportunity to show my skills! My S-Works Epic was the perfect bike for the job. It allowed to to keep pushing on when others were having to back off!", said a triumphant JW after the event.

Meanwhile veteran racer Steve Bennett was forced to pull out with a technical problem after his shock sleeve had worked loose and lost air. "I couldn't believe it. My bike has been running perfect all year than as soon as I race against suspension expert JW I have a problem with my shock! One helluva coincidence!" Said Bennett In unsporting fashion at the finish. Bennett pulled out 15kms from home while on track for a podium place in the Vets category.
