Sparky, champion of the world, well his world!
Pearce Cycles RT had a great weekend at this years Mountain Mayhem 24 hour race, with 2 teams entered.
The 'Fast team', comprising of Dave 'Sparky' Lewis, Dave Price, Pete Harris and Simon White, did amazingly well finishing up 13th in sport and 28th overall. A fantastic result, not easily earned with the tough conditions through the night. The lads kept the lap times fast all through the 24 hours.
The not so fast 'Oldies team', comprising of Andrew 'Dangerous' Davies, Jim Williams, Graham Oliver and Phil Washbrook, put in a great performance finishing up 68th in sport and 120th overall. With 2 hefty losses of time in the terrible conditions during the night, the end result was great. They claim if the night had been trouble free, they'd have given the fast guys a run for their money!!
Thanks to all involved with the organising of the Mountain Mayhem, the best one yet, probably the best 24 hour race in the world.
