We've just heard the very sad news that two of the country's leading downhill mountain bikers, Ben Ineson and Tom Rodgers have been killed in a car accident near to their homes in North Yorkshire.

It's reported that the car they were travelling in left the road and hit a tree near Mearbeck, between Settle and Long Preston in the early afternoon on Thursday 15 January.

Both riders competed in the National Downhill Championships organised by ourselves in July last year.  Our thoughts are with their families and friends.
