On entering an event organised by Pearce Cycles you agree to our terms and conditions and agree to follow our safety guidelines.
Riding a mountain bike downhill is a dangerous activity with an associated risk of injury. By registering for this event, you accept that you are participating at your own risk. You accept and agree that neither the organiser or their agents, officials, landowners, sponsors or fellow riders shall be liable in any way, or in any circumstances, for any damage or injury that you or your bicycle my suffer during, in connection with or as a result of taking part in this activity.
It is your responsibility to:
Wear adequate protection with a suitable helmet compulsory.
Ensure that your bicycle is in safe working order.
Ensure your bicycle is safe and secure during uplift transport.
Ride within your limits of ability
Respect other forest users
If you are 16 years of age or under a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and conditions and be present onsite for the duration of the event.
Any riders under 12 years of age that have been granted special permission to take part must have a responsible adult ride with them at all times.
We must adhere to current Covid alert level compliance set out be the Government. Be aware this may change frequently.
Sign on: When booking online you will be asked to read and agree to our standard terms and conditions for participating in an uplift as well as following Covid regulations. If booking is done over the phone or in person a copy of these T&Cs will be available on site on the emergency details notice board.
Attending an uplift:
DO NOT ATTEND AN UPLIFT IF:
In the last 14 days you have:
- been infected or shown symptoms of Covid-19 - anyone in your household has been infected or shown symptoms of Covid-19 - anyone in your household is in the vulnerable or extremely vulnerable categories as defined in the current UK Government advice
On arrival at site
-park appropriately, 2 metres apart from others.
-Verbally give your details to book in and collect your wrist band.
-Maintain social distancing where possible during the day.
Travelling in uplift vehicle:
-Face masks are compulsory during transport
-Vehicle capacity has been reduced to allow 1 metre social distancing and travel time will never be allowed to exceed 15 minutes.
-All windows must stay open for the duration of the uplift for maximum ventilation.
-All touch points on the vehicles will be wiped between each run.
